University of Sharjah recognized Delta English School Titan, Joel Leah Jacob (GL 10 B), for her artistic prowess at “eARTH: A Better Place” exhibition, organized by the university’s College of Fine Arts and Design.
The theme demanded participants to showcase innovative ideas on how to conserve the environment, make Earth a better place to reside, conserve environmental resources and support a culture of sustainability. Out of 18 private schools with a total of more than 120 art entries, only 52 submissions were chosen for display at the exhibition.
Three of Joel’s art submissions were selected for display among 52 finalized artworks. Joel and other selected artists were honored by Her Excellency Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairwoman of Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor (University of Sharjah), and Prof. Nadia M. Al Hasni, Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Design (University of Sharjah).
