Iffah Konian (GL 12) of Delta English School, Sharjah, won First Place in her category at the 1st Madam Varkey Memorial Pitch Perfect Competition, held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 by GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai. Iffah presented a 3 minute pitch/thesis proposing an innovative, award-winning solution to bridge the school-career gap and successfully prepare students for the future. Her presentation style was modeled on the elevator pitch that is currently popular in universities and business start-ups. Iffah’s success is testimony to the exceptional and academic foundation imparted by Delta English School.
The Madam Varkey Memorial Pitch Perfect Competition is designed to encourage creative problem solving among students. Through this competition, students will be empowered to conceive, research and present futuristic ideas, thus preparing them for the real world of entrepreneurship and global social responsibility.
